Clinical Leadership

Clinical decisions at Klinik7 are made by qualified dental professionals. Patient coordinators may assist with communication, appointments and administrative arrangements, but they do not diagnose conditions or make final treatment decisions.

Where a case involves more than one area of dentistry, the proposed treatment may be reviewed by the relevant clinicians. The treating dentist is responsible for explaining the clinical findings, recommended procedure, reasonable alternatives, important risks and required follow-up.

Clinical decisions

Final treatment decisions are confirmed by the treating clinician after examination and review of the required diagnostic records.

Patient coordination

Coordinators support communication and logistics while clinical recommendations remain the responsibility of the dental team.

Patient Assessment and Treatment Planning

Every treatment plan is based on the patient’s individual circumstances. The assessment may include medical and dental history, existing restorations, gum health, bone condition, bite relationship and aesthetic expectations.

  • Medical and dental history
  • Current medication and allergies
  • Gum and periodontal health
  • Remaining teeth and restorations
  • Bone condition and implant suitability
  • Bite relationship and jaw function
  • Smoking or vaping habits
  • Bruxism and excessive bite forces
  • Relevant X-rays and scans
  • Functional and aesthetic expectations
Important: Photographs, X-rays and information submitted remotely can assist with preliminary planning. They do not replace an in-person examination. The final treatment plan, duration and price may change when the clinical examination reveals additional findings.

Sterilisation and Infection Control

Infection prevention is an essential part of dental care. Clinical areas, reusable instruments and treatment equipment are managed according to the procedures appropriate to their use and level of contamination risk.

  • Hand hygiene before and after patient contact
  • Use of appropriate protective equipment
  • Cleaning and disinfection of clinical surfaces
  • Separation of clean and contaminated instruments
  • Cleaning and packaging of reusable instruments
  • Heat sterilisation where appropriate
  • Safe handling of needles and sharp instruments
  • Appropriate disposal of clinical waste
  • Use of single-use materials where indicated
  • Monitoring and maintenance of equipment

Implant and Restoration Materials

The selection of an implant, abutment, crown, bridge, veneer or denture material depends on the clinical situation and the agreed treatment plan.

Material selection may consider bone and soft-tissue conditions, bite forces, available restorative space, aesthetic requirements, material compatibility, restorative design and long-term maintenance needs.

Separate treatment components

Implant fixtures, abutments and prosthetic restorations are separate components and may have different maintenance and warranty conditions.

Traceable treatment information

Patients may request information about the planned implant system or restorative material before treatment.

No implant or restorative material removes all biological or mechanical risk. Treatment success also depends on diagnosis, planning, healing, oral hygiene, bite management and long-term maintenance.

Complication Management

Dental procedures can involve biological, functional and mechanical risks even when treatment has been planned and performed appropriately.

When a concern is reported, the first step is to assess the available clinical information. Depending on the case, this may involve updated photographs, diagnostic imaging, remote review, an in-person examination, bite adjustment, repair, replacement or referral.

  • Review of symptoms and treatment records
  • Updated photographs or diagnostic imaging
  • Remote clinical review where appropriate
  • In-person examination when required
  • Bite adjustment or restorative repair
  • Periodontal or hygiene treatment
  • Revision of the treatment plan
  • Referral to another relevant professional
A complication does not automatically mean that treatment was performed incorrectly. Healing response, medical conditions, smoking, oral hygiene, bite forces and patient compliance can influence the outcome.

International Patient Aftercare

International patients receive treatment-specific instructions before leaving the clinic. The exact aftercare programme depends on the procedure performed and the patient’s clinical needs.

  • Medication instructions
  • Oral hygiene guidance
  • Dietary recommendations
  • Temporary restoration precautions
  • Implant healing instructions
  • Information about expected symptoms
  • Recommended review periods
  • Remote follow-up communication
  • Relevant treatment documentation
  • Guidance for consulting a local dentist
Remote follow-up can assist with reviewing healing and determining whether further assessment is needed. Photographs, messages and video calls cannot replace an in-person examination when one is clinically necessary.

Implant Warranty Conditions

A treatment warranty is not the same as a guarantee of biological success. Implant treatment depends on bone healing, gum health, oral hygiene, bite forces, general health and patient behaviour.

Where a warranty applies, its specific duration, scope, conditions and exclusions should be stated in the patient’s written treatment documentation. Implant fixtures, abutments and final restorations may be subject to separate conditions.

Clinical evidence may be required

A warranty assessment may require recent X-rays, photographs, a report from a local dentist, evidence of recommended maintenance or an examination at Klinik7. The cause of the reported problem must be assessed before a warranty decision can be made.

General circumstances that may affect warranty coverage

  • Poor oral hygiene or untreated gum disease
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Uncontrolled medical conditions
  • Bruxism or excessive bite forces
  • Failure to use a prescribed night guard
  • Accident, trauma or external impact
  • Unauthorised treatment or adjustment elsewhere
  • Failure to attend recommended reviews
  • Failure to follow aftercare instructions
  • Normal wear or natural tissue changes
Flights, accommodation, transfers, loss of earnings and treatment performed by another provider are not automatically included unless expressly confirmed in writing.

Contact and Emergency Support

Patients reporting a concern should provide their full name, treatment date, a clear description of the problem, the date symptoms began, relevant photographs and any report received from a local dentist.

Information specific to your treatment takes precedence

This page describes Klinik7’s general approach to clinical standards, safety, aftercare and warranty assessment. It does not constitute personal medical advice or create an independent treatment warranty.

The patient’s individual treatment plan, informed consent documents, invoice, discharge instructions and written warranty conditions take precedence where treatment-specific information is required.
